ABOUT THIS SCRIPT:
This picture frame indicates whether the owner of the object is online or offline, and it allows people to send them a message or leave a notecard.
If the owner is online, it sends them an instant message, a pop-up dialog (once the owner is in the same region as the object), and optionally an email containing the message. If the owner is offline, it sends an email containing the message as well as stores the messages to deliver to them when they log on.
You may choose to enable/disable certain methods of notification as well as set the display texture in the config notecard.
FUTURE PLANNED UPDATES:
1. I will add options in the config notecard to choose whether to be addressed by display name or full name.
2. I will add a feature that waits to deliver messages while the owner is Away, as well as an option in the config to disable this feature.
3. I will add a feature that notifies you when someone new enters the parcel, as well as a config option to disable this for different notification methods.
INSTRUCTIONS:
Rezz the message notifier and view its contents by right clicking it and selecting "Edit", then clicking the tab labeled "Content".
Find the notecard labeled "#CONFIG", and double click it to edit its contents. Adjust the settings there to your liking.
Whenever people leave a notecard, you will need to teleport to the object's location and look inside the contents of the object in order to pick up the notecards. The IM or Dialog will automatically link you to the location of the object. Open the nearby chat window to see the link in IM's.
The sender of each message will also be linked to in the IM or Dialog that is sent. Again, just open the nearby chat window to see the link in IM's.
