Liberty 8 is a hairstyle involving long upward spikes that radiate outward. Liberty Spikes were named after the spikes atop the Statue of Liberty.

+ [ h i s t o r y ] +
Liberty Spikes originated with the Ancient Britons. Warriors used to wash their long dark hair in lime water, which also bleached it blond. The hairstyle was extremely symbolic, representing a badge of honour and manhood. Celts were not allowed to spike or cut their hair until they had killed an enemy. Liberty Spikes did not reemerge until the 70's when British Punk subculture chose messy, choppy hair in reaction to the long smooth styles worn by hippies. Originally Liberty Spikes were short, but by the 80's they could reach over a foot in length.

Liberty Hawk 8 was created based on an oval-shaped head. As a result, rounder shaped heads may not perfectly fit it in the back. Because this product is fully mod, you can easily edit the back prims and adjust them to fit your avatar shape, either by moving them or by resizing the whole object. It is strongly advised that you first copy any objects and duplicate them before editing, so that you always have an original copy!
