Kintsugi is a Japanese art of repairing broken pottery with precious metal. This makes the repaired piece look both unique and show that it has a storied history. It's a beautiful concept that Ethan really likes because it can also mean taking flaws and turning them into strengths, or celebrating the things that didn't manage to beat us.

But Ethan isn't Japanese, nor does SL provide a simple way to provide unique pieces. So we have the Kinsuki lamp. It sounds similar enough to be recognisable but hopefully isn't offensive. We hope that you enjoy our take on this fascinating Japanese art style.
