This gorgeous and detailed cake is perfect for just about any occasion.
It is highly customisable, allowing you to set the message text around the bottom layer of the cake, set floating text if you wish in a variety of colors, set the cake with or without candles, and set who can blow out the candles by simply typing 'blow' in chat.
It also, when touched, gives your guests a delicious slice of cake.
Instructions For Writable cakes
Candles
To open the candles menu type '/555 menu'.
-'candles' makes the candles visible,
-'no candles' makes them invisible,
-'lit' lights them,
-'unlit' puts them out,
-'menu off' closes the menu.
If the candles are lit and you want to specify who can 'blow' them out, open the 'Recipient' note card inside the cake.
List the full names of the avatars you wish to be able to blow out the candles, with one name per line.
Eg
Adam Aardvark
Betty Bulldog
Chris Catfish
If you want anyone to be able to blow out the candles then make the notecard blank.
Save the notecard.
Once you've set the candles and the recipients, take the cake into your inventory and re-rez.
To blow out the candles simply type 'blow' in chat.
Cake Message
To set the message around the bottom layer of the cake, open and edit the 'Cake Message' notecard.
Maximum length is 36 characters including 'space'.
Upper and lower case letters, numbers 0-9 and the characters .,;:!"&?$- are allowed.
If you don't want a cake message the make the notecard blank.
Save the notecard.
Take the cake into your inventory and re-rez.
Floating Text
To set the floating text, or to remove floting text, open and edit the 'Floating Message' notecard.
The first line of the notecard specifies the color of the floating text.
Allowed colors are 'white', 'black', 'red', 'green', 'blue', 'yellow', 'pink', 'purple'.
Put your message on the following line(s).
Linebreaks will be observed.
Eg.
red
Touch cake
for a slice
If you don't want floating text then make the notecard blank.
Save the notecard.
Take the cake into your inventory and re-rez.
Slice of Cake
Touching the cake will give the toucher a slice of cake.
Simply wear the 'Slice of Cake'
