Thank you for your interest on SmartTexture tool.
The purpose of this product is to give you the necessary set of scripts so you can BUILD YOUR OWN HUD to control your prim products.
The purpose of this script is to allow creators to be able to sell products with a retexture/resizer HUD.
It's developed for Jewelry, prim attachments but can work also for furniture.
The scripts are very low-Lag.
In order to use the SmartTexture tool, you MUST have some basic knowledge of scripts editing, prim creation and manipulation.

Please remember to set the scripts to NO TRANSFER/COPY or TRANSFER/NOCOPY before dropping it into your products!
* The .configHUD and .configRCV scripts are full perm to allow the designer to configure them, but MUST be setup

I hesitated to grab this, I am sad I waited so long because, this is one of the best HUDs I have ever used. It cuts your time in half.

Works Perfect!
I had no problem making this work. Directions are self explanatory and simple. Exactly what I was looking for!!
WARNING: Broken. Absolutely does not work.
NOTE: I have attempted to contact the creator, several times - no response. Based on their profile it appears they are no-longer in SL at all.
This system uses a "Licensing" technique: you must click a prim to get a license number, that license number must be included in the configuration of both HUD and product.
I have read, re-read, re-re-re-read the instructions, following every letter, dotted every i, crossed every t - and still NOTHING.
I *suspect* the issue is that the "licensing" bit communicates with a third-party website. Because this creator is *apparently* no longer in SL (and supporting their products) - it is possible that the licensing server is DEAD, therefore the scripts are never authenticated, leaving them inert.
Thereby i give this WARNING: THIS PRODUCT IS DEFUNCT, ABSOLUTELY NON-FUNCTIONAL. I should also think it is safe to presume all other scripts from this creator have fallen into the same fate.
Should the creator ever contact me AND fix the problem, then (and only then) will I revise this review. For the time being: CAVEAT EMPTOR.

This script is very straightforward and easy to configure. The manual goes into great detail with step by step directions for those of us who are completely new to working with scripts.
It did take me some time to figure out my own mistakes so per some previous reviews and my own: Make sure your buttons on your hud are named [TEXTURE] the description line being what goes into your script, I also added each texture into the root prim of my HUD as well - The manual does not cover this part as it is specific to the script however I felt the added security of the textures was needed for my own piece of mind. I'll be testing this theory of only needing the UUID instead of both UUID AND the texture itself later today :)
Product name = the name of your product that is getting retextured. I figured out this was my mistake in that I was putting the "prim name" (my products are mesh though!) instead of the entire product name.
Overall 5 stars! Fantastic, easy to use product for beginners!
