Every purchase comes with Seperate PBR & Fallback version seperately, noted "PBR" or "FB" in the folder. Which-ever version of SecondLife you use you can choose which texture version you want!
To get the "Ultimate" texture experience I would highly recommend using PBR version of the item and a PBR-enabled viewer.

Palette rigs for default sizes, we can never guarantee that a rig will fit every size.
This unfortunately is a SecondLife limit because the sizes in prefered shapes on this platform vary a lot. We always include system alpha's so the item fits for most sizes. If the alpha is not enough, you can use the alpha HUD that comes with the body.
We always encourage our shoppers to try a demo before purchasing to see if the product fits on their body size in combination with their body shape.
