Group of 3 palm trees with just 4 prims and a random coconut rezzer that can be individually set-up via notecard
This is perfect if you want plants and also want to save on prims.
Now with several texture variations
The usual plant/tree etc uses 3 flat prims arranged radially to give the impression of a three dimensional object. Needs 3 prims for each plant, which builds up very quickly if you are doing a larger area.
The principal used here is similar except that the flat prims are integrated into one special sculpty which emulates the use of up to 8 flat prims that are arranged in various groups to form plants and plant groups . Yes up to 8 flat prims emulated, depending upon the way the prims are used this can mean a massive saving on prims with an improved foliage density thrown in.
The texture of this plant can be changed via menu. Simply click on the part of the plant or group to be changed, a menu should open on the screen top right. Choose from the options offered and repeat until you have the desired texture. When you have finished click one last time and choose “Lock”. Now the texture can no longer be changed.
Depending upon the plant or group there may be several parts that can be changed thus adding further to the combination possibilities. For example leaf and trunk textures. The same procedure described above should be carried out for each changeable part and each part locked when satisfied.
To change textures after locking the item must be reset, there are a number of ways to do this depending on the permissions the object has. If the item is “Mod” then:
• Open the item in edit menu, go up to the top of the screen open the menu “Tools”, go down this menu and choose the selection “Reset scripts in selected object”. Wait for the scripts to be reset, close the reset window, the texture change menu/s are active again.
If the item is “Transfer” only then I have made the scripts so that they reset automatically upon rezzing, then:
• You must take the item back to inventory and rezz it again in world. It will be automatically reset.
To set up the random coconut rezzer please open the "Config" notecard in the palm, change the values and save.
I hope you enjoy this item. There are several variations check by clicking on "View all by this merchant" up towards the top right of the page.
I do not have a shop, just my island. This item is probably around somewhere if you want to see it in real, or just IM me.

Do come on over and have a look, the island is worth a little exploration, just avoid the lions and the quicksand. Oh, by the way the rumour that several newbies have disappeared on the island is unfounded, I feed my lions regularly and have never found any evidence of violence, apart from a little blood maybe.
I hope you enjoy this item

great !
changing texture is great :)) falling coconut may be dangerous :P but looks cool :D!
Wow! This is a beautiful tree! It is worth every linden. The foilage is very realistic and the shape of the tree is very nice. The coconuts even look great. I bought a dif coconut tree earlier today and it wasn't even close to being this gorgeous (and I paid more for it).
Had to buy another one of these trees after seeing the first one.
