I put together this repaint to pay tribute to not just the United States....but Old Glory, our colors, our Standard, and what she stands for, and those who fought for her.
This isn't about politics, religion, or any of that. It's about patriotism. As General Douglas MacArthur once said, "Duty, Honor, Country: Those three hallowed words reverently dictate what you ought to be, what you can be, what you will be. They are your rallying points: to build courage when courage seems to fail; to regain faith when there seems to be little cause for faith; to create hope when hope becomes forlorn."
John 15:13 says, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.
On the nose, is the logo for the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation. This logo is the combination of two tattoos that Chris wore. It's a tribute to a great man. An American Hero.
On the tail, is the Fallen Soldier's Cross. A tribute, and a thank you to the men and women who laid down their lives. For me, this is personal, as my 3rd cousin is in Houston National Cemetery. Cpl. Scot McIntosh, US Army, was Killed In Action on 10 March, 2008 while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom. The older brother of a good friend of mine from high school, Captain Doug DiCenzo, US Army, was Killed In Action on 25 May, 2006, while serving in Operation Iraqi Freedom.
This repaint is a tribute, not just to them, but to so many who serve this country, those who have served, and those who laid down their lives. It is because of these men and women that we have the freedoms we do today, and it's best that we not forget them.
