This is a woodcut from 1888, by an anonymous artist. A timeless and symbolic work. It depicts a man dressed as a medieval pilgrim and carrying a pilgrim's staff, peering through the sky as if it were a curtain to look at the hidden workings of the universe. The image is called The Flammarion Woodcut from L'atmosphère: météorologie populaire, by Camille Flammarion, 1888. The Flammarion woodcut has also been used in many other contexts to illustrate either the scientific or the mystical quests for knowledge including as an illustration in C. G. Jung's "Flying Saucers: A Modern Myth of Things Seen in the Skies", published in 1959.

I placed this work of art on a prim and added a touch of transparency to use as a stained glass window. It is fitting as a simple wall hanging , or rug, or whatever you would like to do with it. The contents of the prim include the texture with copy perms. The prim itself only has modify permissions. Resolution is good enough on the texture to stretch a good deal before losing quality.

Thanks for looking.
