A finely chiseled gilt bronze pendulum,
ordered in 1773 by the garde-meuble royal for the decoration of the bedroom of the Comte d'Artrois in the palace of Versailles.
Of a particularly singular design, the clock is decorated with two cherubs holding a wreath and garland of flowers that fall from both sides of the clock face down to its base, which is decorated with arabesque mounts.
Currently exposed at the apartments of mesdames at the chateau de Versailles.
The cartel is fully functional, the hours and minutes can be adjusted and an 18th-century chime strikes every hour an half.
