This calendar displays a large picture above a calendar for the current month, hghlighting today's date. It knows all about leap years under the Gregorian system and handles any year up to 9999. You can either display a single picture each month, or have it show a random one every day, and you can drop as many pictures of your own into it as you want.
The day changes over at midnight, in whatever timezone you want. It doesn't know about daylight saving time, but you can tweak the timezone to compensate if you really want it to change the date at exactly midnight.
