About your Personal Media Hud
Your Hud is designed to use secondlifes media on a prim technology enabling streaming media from
the internet . You must be using viewer 2 or compatible viewer for this to work for you . In addition having all your flash and quicktime plugin's up to date . Shared Media is a new feature introduced with Viewer 2. It's more powerful and flexible than the older parcel media, letting you put Internet content on any prim surface you can change, with new browser-like controls, and without the land restrictions.
Operation
The Media Hud is simple to operate , by clicking on the media menu button it will give you a drop down menu in the upper right hand corner of your screen . Merely select the website to display on the hud's screen , The hud connects to that site and from there make your selections on the media hud's display . You can click on links and select and play music or video . The media hud is designed to be worn on your screen , from your inventory select add or wear to put your hud on , it attaches to your your upper right hand side of your screen and only you can hear it play . The Display button toggles min/max size of the display and the zoom button will toggle 2X zoom . If the site doesn't load right away just click reload from the displays browser buttons .
Add your own Internet Media sites .
The Media Hud allows you to add and or change the sites the hud will play . Inside the hud is a notecard called "urls". Enter in your own sites syntax sitename | web_address.com , if you look at the notecard you will see how it is done. In edit mode / edit the notecard. It is located in the root prim ,
You will find another notecard named singles , I just used that for single videos from youtube .
Please note not all websites will work on sl's media on a prim technology but most the good ones will .
Some of the websites I have already put on the urls notecard have some really nice features if you open up a
free basic user account with them like setting up your own music profiles to play just what you want .
