Personal Rescue Raft - Civil - mesh - Boxed Version 1.0
*** XMAS PROMO: 33% of the final retail price ***
Why in SecondLife one should use a "rescue raft"?
If, after being shot down (by enemies or by those damn'd cross-sims), you eject from your plane into cold waters: the raft integrates a water sensor which, if you fall below a predefined deep in the water, makes the raft inflating and you will be carried to the water surface, where the raft will gently float, emitting an underwater cloud of anti-shark dust which should also improve your survivability.
Then it's up to you to wait for the air rescue, making your raft more visible using the red can's rescue signal's smoke, or just use the raft to reach the nearest isle.
We know that, in SecondLife, being as low-weight as possible is vital for a pilot (e.g. to survive cross-sims), so we made all the Personal Rescue Raft's features operated by a single 16K script: we hope the raft will be for you as useful as we found it, enjoy using it as we did building and testing it to make one of the best quality product in the market.
1. wear the Personal Rescue Raft (better before start getting around)
2. forget it
note: remember to switch your AO off before it inflates (e.g. falling into the water)
The raft will check by its own if you are (unsit) in the water, before inflating.
The most part of its operations are completely automatic:
- falling in the water activates it
- being on the ground (for more than 2 seconds) makes it auto-deflating and ready for the next use
- flying 2 meters over the water (or just sitting on a rescue tray) will make it auto-deflating too
- in the CIV(il) one the anti-shark dust emission is automatic also, as far as you remain in the water
- MIL(itary) rafts need the dust to be manually activated, as it's very visible and we don't want you be spotted by enemies ;-)
- touching both cans, red or yellow, manually de/activates the related dust/smoke
- touching the raft's back (the black piece with ST's logo) makes the raft manually-deflated, just in case you need it
- the raft will work into every sim, rez and no-rez ones
NOTES
=====
Every time remember you're NOT sitting on a vehicle but it's your avatar which is "floating" on the waves: this implies that
- you can do whatever an avatar can do (fly, walk, etc.) with some limitations due to the floating in progress
- the raft, even if visible, is phantom (like everything worn) so no other can sit on it
- the way you can move is quite different from the average vehicle: just point your cam to the direction you want to turn and press the forward key (stop by pressing the back key).
- your maximum speed is nearly the same of a flying avatar, so avoid exceeding it, especially near the sim borders.
THE BOX
======
Wearing it is the best way to unpack its contents as the box can work even in no-rez sims and it will auto-detach after giving the contents. You obviously can also rez it, if you like, and it will give you the contents after you touch it.
We know we can even give you all the things yet unpacked, but this way you'll have a ready backup just in case of loosing the contents (and, if you even loose the pack, just ask us and we will redelivery, if the product is no-transfer).
