The personal Sailboat was created to allow people to enjoy a simple easy-to-use sailboat ride around SL.
The personal Sailboat will allow the Owner to be the Skipper, or if the boat is set to a particular group, it will allow anyone in that group to be Skipper. Anyone can ride as one of the crew / passengers. The personal Sailboat is very easy to control (the sailboat does not work with world wind and you do not need to wear a hud or know anything about RL sailing).
The sailboat design is based on a CL-14. This is a 14-foot 'dinghy' sized boat, designed for day sailing. It has no cabin, and comfortably carries up to three people. It works best with one skipper and one or two crew, but can be controlled by a single person.

Please note: The Sailboat functions on Linden / World water only. It will not work on prim water.
I like this little sailboat. It goes fast, and stops abruptly when the sails go down. You can then move slowly to your destination. I doesn't run on sl wind. It's great for water travel, beats flying!
