Further down the road.
I hope to see more from TJ Automotive. I find this little truck full of potential, but I want more.
The 359 is a classic lined Pete, long hood graceful lines and plenty of chrome.
The good :
The cab interior is tastefully chromed up on the dash with a very nice gauge pack, and the instrument cluster looking very good.
The hud is unobtrusive, though it looks a bit clunky at first. It handles all the Roleplay elements listed well. Matching trailer fits nicely and follows along in sim quite well, the fact the RP Cargo system will work is a great boon for those wanting to set up a freight company,
The bad:
Now this is a disclaimer, I want to like this, but I purchased this truck for a simulation. Not a RP. I was very disappointed with the noises.
The idle sound. This is the same small engine noise that was available when I first joined Second Line and had several vehicles. I was really hoping against hope that by now a proper diesel noise was available, sadly this was not the case.
An airbrake sound when applying brakes would be great, and the appropriate sounds for shifting up and down would be welcome additions to this truck.
Conclusion:
To be clear this is no Astaro Westline, and maybe it was unfair of me to expect that level of vehicle, BUT it is a good little truck. If you want to have a RP fleet and have a smaller sim to bop around, I can recommend it. Again the only major down fall for me is the sounds for the truck.
