I bought this forest because I wanted to improve the one we had. We're having a huge Northern RP Sim and I wanted a good looking forest but this one was just.. A little hard to use as well.. I am a little disappointed. The old one I used had rougly 100 Prims and looked really fine. This one has over 300 Prims (when using what I need) and I think .. 2,5k is a little too much. I bet it does the job anyways. I gotta find a way to use it somehow.
Wild forest done perfectly
These are beautifully done. Easily blends with my other products from Heart and other creators, even ones people think are not realistic enough. If I do not intend to change my seasons it is easy to remove the scripts, but they are not even noticeable. I have been shopping here since 2007 and have never regretted my purchases. If I ever have issues Lilith addresses them with amazing customer service. My only wish is that Dolly does a tree house for this amazing forest, oh and the oak ones!
Amazing Trees But script heavy with a poorly implemented HUD.
Ok. These are some of the most amazing trees on SL hands down. They aren't without their share of problems however. Season change huds come with a HUGE expense of script time. These trees have a ton of scripts in them that stay running wasting resources on the sim for that one day that you want to change seasons. Since the creator chose to make these trees in multiple parts they all have multiple scripts running in them making them a real pain to disable. What's worse is these scripts know absolutely no distance. So lets say you want it winter in one part of your sim and summer in another. It's not possible. The season change hud works SIM WIDE even in trees that you thought you disabled.
The creator should really consider putting in a "delete scripts" option for people who aren't interested in changing seasons constantly. They also should limit the distance that the hud works so that it's limited to 256m distance and won't affect builds thousands of meters away.
This might sound nit picky but season change scripts that can't be disabled or removed are a huge source of script lag everywhere you go. Especially when a single tree has multiple scripts in all of it's individual parts. Why should your neighbors trees slow your performance because they might want to change them occasionally during the year?
Great work high details
If you are looking for a realistic addition to your forest, these are the types of trees you want. I have them as the centerpiece of the forest--compliments come from all who visit it. Thank you for fine work, Lilith.
