This is a dangerous trap. Use it wisely.
On activation, spikes will erupt from the floor!
You will receive 6 objects and one bonus old blood texture!
I have included the regular spikes, spikes with a blood splatter stain to give clues about where they are, and spikes with skulls and debris of former victims that have not been cleared away, yet.
Each of the three versions comes in both solid spike and phantom spike. This is simply to give you options when building your dungeon.
This product contains MESH components. You must use a capable viewer. The Spikes make some use of the Advance Lighting Model features of SL. If your PC has issues rendering mesh, turn those features off in Preferences, or your Spikes may remain invisible!

It offers the following RLV functions:
Collision capture w/ 60 second lock timer
Sit w/ 60 second lock timer
Add 60 more seconds to lock timer
Mute/Unmute nearby chat
Release
Only one avatar can access the controls at a time. There is a 60 second release timer to permit newly released victims a chance to escape before a collision causes it to grab again.

You do not need to be using RLV to Sit/ Pose
BEFORE YOU REZ:
Be aware the spikes in this product are only visible when it is triggered by an avatar.
If you rez the normal version too far away you will not see it. Make sure you either have Transparents Highlighted or are in Edit mode before you rez. Your other option is to rez the object right at your own avatar's feet. This will trigger the trap and make it visible so you may position it easily.
If you place these traps too far below a surface, it will not trigger. I recommend resting the base of the spikes right against the floor of your dungeon.
The phantom version of the Spikes has phantom spikes. This means avatars will not be stopped by them when walking. (useful for tight dungeon tunnels) Only the base of the phantom version Spikes will react to collision to trigger the RLV capture. HOWEVER, there is a range sensor in the base which will automatically show the spikes if an avatar is extremely close to the base prim. So this trap may be used on a wall for roleplay purposes. If you would like the range extended or any other customization, please send a notecard with your request.
This prop may not fit avatars of extreme sizes. Please try the DEMO available at the kiosk in-world.
