The Stocking is another experimental trap concept, hidden in an innocent felt Christmas stocking. On activation, it will sprout tentacles and summon a mean, little tentacled thing that will attach itself to the victim's chest.
It has a texture change menu so the owner may match the Stocking to the decor:
Black & White
Red & Green
Blue & White
Before purchasing, PLEASE TRY THE DEMO available in world so you have a good understanding of what it does.
The Stocking's attack is triggered by an avatar walking in its range; it is not collision activated. Its range is 1.5m for the curious who step close enough to see what is inside... You cannot spam the Stocking with multiple victims. It has a timer. Read the Technicalities listed below.
I have included small and large size, as well as a bonus Toy to wear and share.
The attachments have touch activated resizer scripts, but the animation position cannot be adjusted. I don't recommend using the Min/Max options on the resizer menu, since sometimes SL cannot keep up with the texture changes, but the size can get very small and very large.
This product contains MESH components. You must use a capable viewer.

The bonus Toy permissions are Copy/Transfer. While this means you may freely give the Stocking Toy to your friends, you may NOT sell it - not even for 0L. Those who wish to include any of my freebies in their item givers, must contact me for permission. I prefer customizing for the sim's needs.
Technicalities:
* You will need a total of 14 prims free to use this product.
* The attack comes by way of an attachment, NOT a sit pose. You will not be able to adjust the height of the animation. This is determined by the environment. A script cannot change this.
* The AO worn by a victim can affect the animations. Turn it off.
* The Stocking will not attack if the avatar has moved out of range.
* The Stocking's attack is an invisible object that will detect the nearest avatar, then send a permission to attach and animate in one popup. If the avatar gives permission, the object attacks! If the avatar denies permission, the object dies.
* This uses the temporary attach function. So when detached, the object disappears. It will not stay in the avatar's inventory, nor will it drop to the ground.
* The Stocking sensor deactivates for 80 seconds after an avatar triggers it. This will prevent your sim from filling up with rezzed objects if someone decides to stand on the trap all day.
* Sensors and Listens in the script are managed to only run when and where they are needed. If you want an RLV version, provide the script for me to install.
* The rezzed object is temporary. This means if the avatar that triggered the trap ignores it or walks away, the object will disappear in 60-70 seconds.
* If the Stocking detects that the avatar in range is already under attack, it will not try again.
* Yes, you can technically have multiple victims. The Stocking only "sees" the avatar nearest to its center.
* Overlapping copies of any Stocking product is not recommended, as their attacks may sense and respond to the same avatar.
* I will consider custom builds on request (changes to size, attack range, color, named targets, rp chat additions, etc.).
