This is an unusual project for me, but I felt we needed more tentacles in SL.

This is a builder's kit for personal use, but please note, while the mesh models are No Transfer, the maps included have full permissions.

I will repeat that:

In this kit, the MESH IS NOT TRANSFERABLE.
The maps included have full permissions.

It is a set of weirdly irregular tentacles resembling some kind of insect appendage. Read carefully the terms and conditions within this listing to understand your legal rights and obligations under the user license. (They're not too painful. Don't worry.)

First, please view the DEMO. It is available for free here at the SL Marketplace. You will be able to see all the mesh models, all the textures included in this set, test the almost non-existent physics, and get an idea of the level of detail at distance.

There is no excuse for not knowing what you are purchasing.

Second, note the permissions of this set.
The mesh components in this set have the following permissions:

Copy
Modify
No Transfer

* The package includes:
21 linked mesh tentacle variations
1 Normal Map
1 Specular Map
1 UV Map (This is highly decimated to preserve the curves and still keep the Li low.)
2 versions of a Shadow Map
1 Greyscale Texture Map
1 cut version of the Greyscale Texture Map

Third, here are some details and advice:
All tentacles are 1Li or less at the default size. Resizing mesh will change its land impact, but I think you will find these versatile.

All tentacles use the SAME UV Map. (That's right. You don't have to create 21 textures. 1 texture is used for all 21 models.)

Because when building, there are always pieces not quite right, I included the Cut Texture Map to guide you. Apply your cut texture, set your Alpha Mode to Alpha Masking with a Mask cutoff greater than 0. This will eliminate alpha glitches and give you a tentacle without the wide end and the narrow tip. You will understand, once you see the models in the DEMO. If you are scripting Transparency changes, remember when you do this, the system resets the Alpha Mode back to Alpha Blending, so you will want to account for this in your script to reset to Alpha Masking when you reset to 0 Transparency, or you will have alpha glitches.

The Normal and Specular maps are already applied.

If you are going to use the components of this package with your own avatar, you do not need to read any further.

If you are going to sell or redistribute my products, these are the restrictions:

Term 1)
You may NOT sell or give away any component of this package together or separately, with the exception described in Term 3.
This means:
~ you may not use my items to create your own builder's kit under any condition.
~ you may not sell any of the UV maps, shadow maps, texture maps, or any other materials.
~ you may not give or sell the individual mesh pieces, even if they are re-textured.. They are being sold to you without transfer permissions. This, of course, means you are not permitted to transfer them.

Term 2)
You MAY create unique texture maps for my mesh models and sell these new maps, individually or with an applier script for those who have also purchased this package.
I included the maps to assist you in creating your own, unique creations. Adding some color to my greyscale map does NOT constitute sufficient change to call it your own texture.

Term 3)
You MAY share the textures and UV maps included in this kit, thus extending the user license to one other avatar without making another purchase, provided the following conditions are met:

You must:
~ confirm this avatar has a legitimate reason for access to my products with full perms.
~ ensure the owner of this avatar understands Terms 1, 2, and 3 apply to all shared components of my product.
