Users Manual
The *SPH* xP4D CC are luxurious carts for up to six ponies and 4 drivers/passengers and comes with a fully operational cruise control.... hence the name xP4D CC.
Features:
-----------
*Physically realistic!
Contrary to the usual carts in SL this cart does not slide on an invisible block of stone and thus behaves totally different.
It runs on it's wheels and the pony's feet and behaves like you would expect it to. It banks and shakes over each single cobblestone the wheels run over and it turns over the wheels rather than over a virtual center of the full cart-size.
*Flexible camera!
Contrary to usual carts in SL, the camera can be not just chosen between mouselook or a fixed secondary look, but can freely be scrolled back or even fully decoupled. It follows the cart's movements smoothly when not in Mouselook, so that motion-sickness won't be so much of a problem.
*Cruise Control
Some Owners like to chat with their "ponies" while out on a tour and thus cruise control is nice to have so the "pony" can type without having to stop for each word they type. It automatically powers up to make an uphill part and brakes when going downhill too fast. It takes the average speed-power of all ponies for it's actual speed.
*Adaptive steering
As this multi-pony-system is built to have the ponies working together as a team, but you don't always have a full team, it automatically adjusts the steering power to the ponies that actually are strapped in. If you have one pony strapped, it can still fully operate the cart without any disadvantages. When two are strapped in, both have half of the full power, three ponies each a third and so on.
As this leaves a single pony usually with a quite nervous steering, a single pony in an *SPH* can adjust the sensitivity of the steering.
*5 Speeds
The speeds vary from a realistically slow walking speed that makes a very relaxing tour, up to the fast gallop (respective running for the human ponies) that can give the fun of a fast pace. The steering adjusts to the speeds automatically so it stays as realistic as possible but still offers the possibility to "ignore" the real physics and simply have fun ;)
*Handbrake
Anyone else but the pony can pull the handbrake of the cart - be it in emergency cases of an unconscious pony (crashing or whatever) or to park the pony together with the cart while going into a shop or such. A force-sat pony is secured very well in the cart with a pulled handbrake ;)
*5 minutes self destruct
When abandoned, the cart deletes itself after 5 minutes. This saves you from getting returned carts flooding your "Lost&Found"-folder and landowners from cleaning up.
*Partially mesh
The hitch, the body and the seats of the cart are mesh to save prims/landimpact. Stuffed with the rich details it still is low in Landimpact.
*Multipose Seats
Most carts are a bit boring as they have one single pose the sitting passengers/driver are doomed to as soon as they take seat.... On these convenient seats, the passenger has the choice out of 8 (7 on the right hand side) poses that cover a wide variety of style.
*RLV enhanced
This cart offers the usual RLV-functions for "Grab" (force sit) and "Lock" with the respective counterparts "Unlock" and "Unsit" for each single pony seat (for example lock in the own property and leave guest-ponies unlocked).
The menu is built representing the positions of the pony seats visually, so no guessing which seat the grabbed pony might land on ;) You are in control.
*Pony activity indicators
Every trainer of a multi pony team will know the problem too well that one of the ponies does not what it should do, but they don't know which one it is.. they only see that it doesn't work right.
The indicators show the individual settings and activities of each pony whether it has started or stopped pulling, which speed it has chosen and if it is steering into the right direction.
The indicators are non obstrusive floating text on each pony seat, that are clearly seen from the normal trainers position when "Advanced Lighting Model" is active in the viewer. If for whatever reason the trainer can't use that, they can set the cart to be verbose and announce start/stop and the chosen speed of each pony in chat (can be quite spammy with 6 ponies ^^). That setting is done in the main menu reachable by chat command.
*In Beta phase: "Offroad-mode" or AWD
The cart's physical build can be switched from the menu and allows for the heaviest terrain.
*Cart shows "no modify" as of course the scripts are no mod, but the cart itself is set to mod + copy :)
