Difficult to texture

The prim shapes are quite nice - open book is 7 prims, which is a bit high. Problem is if you want to use written word textures (or images) on the open pages, the open book is actually quite difficult to texture. The open book pages are comprised of 4 prim faces: the outer two-thirds of verso page, the inner gutter of verso, the inner gutter of recto page, and outer two-thirds of recto page. The problem is that the outer 2/3 of both pages will represent your texture *backwards* which means the typed words on your texture will appear backwards. Also have to line up the words on the gutter piece with the other two-thirds. The gutters texture just fine, but the concave sliced cylinder representing the other 2/3 of each page is very challenging to texture correctly. You will have much better luck sticking with blank pages....

These 2 books look like books. That's win really, as books are what they are. Books!
