ProMaterials - The Full Collection

Giving it 4 out of 5 cause it's a huge set of really high end textures, but hasn't been updated with the times so there's a bunch of stuff not actually part of it. Still, it's an incredible pack.

this does not contain ALL 3D promaterial textures. It misses f.i.
Slate roof textures,
White Tile texture,
Lawn Grass textures,
From the Aluminium textures and the metalic gold and metalic bronze textures I only got 1 normal texture although the separate packs give 8 different finishes.
I bought this 2021 dec. 25. Today is 2022 jan 16. I of course asked for support on this issue and nobody got abck to me untill today. I will wait another week or so and if nobody responds till then I will have to flag this item as notr as advertised.

so i bought this pack that says it has all the textures you make but yet the grass ones are not in it , why is that happening ?

This is a great set to get. You might be looking at the price and feeling a little sticker shock but it really does come with a vast library of textures that really 'pop' in SL and make your stuff look amazing.

A few years back I became aware of 'texture thrashing' - the name for when you see things in SL blur that were clearly visible moments earlier. It is caused by having too much stuff loaded into texture memory... The common solution is people demand builders use lower resolution textures - which in many modern builds would lead to shoddy looking goods...

I wanted an 'out of the box' solution... so what I did was look at a wide variety of texture makers to try and find out who had the best seamless texture kits. I bought smaller kits from several different people. Over time I found I was mostly using just the ones I had bought from ProMaterials...

What I do, is I look for anywhere in the items I have rezzed out where I can replace the existing textures with a set of repeating textures, and preserve or improve the quality of the look. I identified within my kit from ProMaterials the 'best in each category' for recoloring as needed, and I use them over and over... so for example, much of the 'wood' on my land is the Oak Diffuse with different shades of grey added to alter it's color, and set at different repeats or angles - and this usually makes the original item look BETTER than the texture it came with. I can often take builds using dozens of different textures and cut them down to 1 or 2 from ProMaterials... and by using the same textures over and over in different objects, but configured differently to make them appear to be different... I put an end to texture thrashing.

To do this trick requires starting with top quality textures. Many competing brands just didn't have the quality for me to be able to use them repeatedly without it starting to look 'cheap'. ProMaterials is so good that everything looks amazing with this.
