Dome elements are off sim, and set to fit even the smallest 512 sqm parcel. Once when rezzed in the sky the dome will take 100 m diameter visually and it will not disappear or show up on your neighbors land in any technical way. However, you must be aware that you can place your house or rezz new prims in the dome only inside of your own land borders.
Just follow the instructions attached to dome package and you can't miss.
Basic knowledge in object rezzing like how to edit and turn the prim around is required.

THE BEST winter skydome in SL hands down!
I have almost every winter skydome and skyglobe. This is honestly the best one! I love the details of this skydome and the variety of sky textures. This is truly the best. I have paid $$$$$$ for others that really do not equal Mr. Randt's work. Not even close! Thank you Mr. Randt! I bought two more of his skydives for the spring and summer seasons. (p.s. maybe you can create a texture season changing skydome in the near future!)
