With the KG1 Gasmask series, PsiCorp brings to Second Life another product from the awesome real-life gasmask creator Wildgasmasks.com
This mask comes in a wide range of varieties, offering ten unique looks, with smooth, pre-rendered textures creating a wonderful smooth sheen on the latex masks.
Second Life´s all new Mesh import feature has been used to craft each mask as a smooth, continuous piece rather than having to break them up into sculpted prims, resulting in a much higher visual quality, while at the same time being comparatively less demanding to display and download.
Mesh technology means that for a much higher visual level, you will get a smaller download size due to less objects and less textures, and this lowered complexity also means the object renders faster compared to traditional sculpts.
This does mean to correctly use and see these masks, you will need the official Second Life viewer OR a mesh-compatible third-party viewer.
Each of the ten variations comes with both a version featuring straps to hold it, or a latex hood to cover the head further. Additionall, it comes with a set of hoses and filter, which you can easily choose to wear by simply using "Add" instead of "Wear" when putting it on. Also, a simple HUD overlay is available for first person view, to give you a restricted view much like you would have wearing these masks for real.
Each of those masks costs 400L$, with the big pack being available at 2500L$, meaning you can save 1500L$ in total on the big pack.
