Welcome to PurrBox 1.1!

The PurrBox is an attachment to your avatar that produces a constant loop of a high fidelity, soothing, real cat's purr recording. The audio file is nearly three minutes long and contains a lot of variety and should be a lovely addition to your kitty avatar (or whatever avatar you like!)

Simply add the PurrBox to your avatar and it should attach to the neck. Then touch your PurrBox (back or side of neck for a cat avatar such as nuko) to turn the sound on. It takes a little while for the sound to load, but should give you a chat message when it starts. Touch again in the same place to stop the sound.

Three versions of the PurrBox are included. The "soft" version (my favorite) is set to 30-40% of maximum volume. This will be most accurate to the sound level of a real cat's purr. The "medium" version is set to 50-60%, and the "loud" version is full volume.

If you need to edit the position or size of the PurrBox (a spherical transparent prim), just press Ctrl-Alt-T to show transparent objects and select the PurrBox to move it. A second press of Ctrl-Alt-T will return to normal view.

NOTES:

-For a humanoid avatar the PurrBox should still auto-attach to the neck and be clickable just like a small cat avatar. If you already have an item attached to the neck you can choose to "attach to chest" and the PurrBox click area will be a bit lower. It is recommended that you edit the position of the PurrBox to move it slightly forward so that there is a larger clickable area in front of your chest.

-If you cannot touch your PurrBox,try zooming in towards the neck, or viewing the cat directly from either the top or side. If that does not work, press Ctrl-Alt-T to make transparent objects visible (my favorite method) and click the sphere on your neck. A single click is all you need. Just wait a bit for the sound to load. Another press of Ctrl-Alt-T will return view to normal.

-Another trick to "touch" any object you are currently wearing is to go to inventory, select "Worn", find the object (such as the PurrBox,) then right-click it and choose "Touch".

-Choppy playback on the first loop can happen when there are many avatar scripts running or many audio sources loading in the local sim. If this is the case, it should smooth out on the next loop.

~~Changelog 7/3/2024~~
Ver 1.1 : Changed object permissions from copy only to copy/mod. Contents remain copy only. Added "owner only" versions of all three volumes. These only respond to touch_start from the owner, and communicate via llOwnerSay instead of llSay.
