Looking for an easy hands free way to have your camera focus locked on someone or something, even if that someone or something is static or moving?
Want someone to force you to keep looking at them or at something as a reward, restrain or penalty?
This script goes into any attachment you can drop it in and allows you or someone else to lock the focus of your viewer camera so you cannot look away from a selected avatar or item for more than a specified number of seconds, as long as you stay within a specified number of meters from such person or object.
The commands for switching the camera focus lock are typed in local chat and have the following format (without quotes):
"/channel prefix+switch"
prefix is made of the first letter of avatar name and first letter of avatar second name (usually Resident), both in lowercase. So for Foo Resident prefix will be fr.
For example: "/1 frcfon", will send cfon command (camera focus lock on) on hidden channel 1 (won't be visible by others in local chat).
To confirm that the script is working (and you are not cheating about having it disabled), the avatar you allow to switch the camera focus will receive appropiate status notice via instant message upon sending a switch command.
The script loads a series of parameters from a configuration notecard, where you can adjust the following values to change how the camera lock works:
* Channel the script will listen to (set to channel 1 by default).
* Who can switch the camera focus: anyone (including you) or a specific avatar (you can set yourself as the only who can operate the lock if you wish so).
* Camera focus lock targert (can be an avatar or any rezzed object).
* Distance of camera from target (in meters).
* Camera lock interval will lock your camera back to target every X seconds.
* Camera lock range (camera lock will engage as long as you stay within this range). Default is 20 meters, that is normal chat range.
* View axis, adjusts camera to look at target from behind, from front up looking down, and any combination axis that fits your needs.
* Camera lock switch on command: cfon by default.
* Camera lock switch off command: cfoff by default.
Drop the script and configuration notecard into the content of any attachment that you can modify. Make your adjustments to configuration and the script will reload settings after you save the notecard changes.
