What is it?
=========
Qetesh's RLV Avatar Battery is a device to power your avatar. It needs to be charged regularly or you run out of power. Depending on what you do, you will use more or less power.

What are the system requirements to power myself?
===================================
You need an RLV enabled viewer like Firestorm or Catznip. Of course it works with any other RLV compatible viewer as well. RLV version 2.4 or later is recommended.
For all effects, basic shaders need to be enabled in your viewers graphics settings

You can attach the battery anywhere on your avatar. Default attachment point is Spine.

How long does the battery last?
=====================
Different activities need different amounts of power. The power consumption is counted in units, where one unit equals 1% of a full battery.

While idle your avatar needs almost no power, using only 0.01 units per second.
When you start chatting each line of chat will use 0.1 units, plus a small amount for every character in that line. So longer chatlines need more power of course.
Walking uses 0.1 units per second. If you start running though the needed power goes up to 0.5 units per second. Flying needs even more power.
You will also notice that moving your cam away from yourself can consume a lot of power, depending on the distance.
The most power is used for teleports. So don't waste too much power by teleporting around randomly.

The statistics in the battery menu tell you what you used your energy for.

What happens if I run out of power?
========================
When your battery level drops below 10% you get a warning. You have still enough power left to teleport home and get to your charger. If you don't react and don't have enough power left for teleporting lets hope you are at home and have a charger anywhere near you. If not you will run out of power.
The Battery has an emergency power system which allows it to use surrounding energy to slowly gain some power. Your avatar will be switched off in that mode to prevent problems. As soon as enough power is restored to teleport again (plus a little extra) the battery will power your avatar again so you can get to the charger.

How do i charge my battery?
===================
The battery comes with a charging platform. Just rez it at your place and sit on it to charge. While charging your avatar is switched off as well to make sure the full amount of energy provided by the charger goes into the battery. The battery is also compatible with the charger for Bo Thistle's Ulterior Motives Drone. You just need to attach a fitting USB plug to your avatar as it does not work wireless like the one that comes with the battery.

What does the lock do?
================
As long as the battery is not locked anyone can open its menu and lock it. From that moment on you can not remove it anymore and only the keyholder can unlock it again. They can set a timer after which the battery unlocks itself and the timer menu can also be set to public (optional) so anyone clicking it can be evil and add time.
The keyholder can also reset the timer and activate a renamer in the battery.

How does the renamer work?
====================
The battery comes with a basic renamer that just replaces your name. You can use any external renamer as well though and the battery will still detect your chat for calculating power consumption as long as that renamer uses RLV.

I don't like the sounds. What can i do?
=========================
You can either switch the sounds off in the main menu or replace them in the inventory. Just make sure the sounds you put into the battery have the same names as the original ones.

Anything else?
==========
Thank you to Spike for the idea and help with the project. Without his input and testing the battery won't be what it is now. Also blame him if you find bugs. He didn't test enough if there are any left.
If you really find bugs please tell me about them. As with all of my products future updates for the battery will be free and automatically sent to you. But I can't fix bugs if no one tells me about them!

If you have questions or need help with something, please send an IM to me and I will help as good and fast as i can.

I agree with Seraphe Haven. While an option to hide the hover text has been added, I would also like to see an option to 'influence draining rate and recharge time'.

I will give this product five stars for quality and available features, relative to price.

One of the best Avatar Battery Systems out there and well worth the money. I just miss two features: An option to hide the hovertext and an option for the keyholder to influence drowning rate and recharge time. With these features it would be perfect :)
