The sculpted Ring Box has two great features:
1 - Touch Open / Close
This is ideal if you would like to nicely display your own jewelry.
2 - Proposal Pose
Simply 'wear' the box. The pose is automatically activated, the box is attached to the right hand, and can be opened / closed by yourself or your loved one by touching it.
The pose was made with a male model - if a more slender avatar is proposing, the location of the ring box on the hand may need some adjustment.
To modify the Ring Box to add your own ring...or whatever you want to put in there:
* wear the Ring Box (if you want the position of the pose to remain accurate...otherwise you can rezz it anywhere)
* zoom in
* right click -> edit
* edit linked parts
* click on the box lid and slide it to the side (you might want to make a note of its coordinates so that you are sure to slide it back to the exact same place)
* close the edit window
* rezz & position your ring (or whatever) where you would like it in the box
* link your ring to the box (in edit mode: tab+left_click to highlight both items, & then from the Tools menu at the top of the SL window select Link)
* edit linked parts
* slide the box lid back over
* close the edit window
* Tah-Dah!
Tips:
* Click the box open and closed a few times to make sure that the ring is really hidden when the box is closed - you might need to sink your ring a little lower into the box (or add a transparency script...ask me if you need assistance here)
* When you Take Off / Detach the ring box, make sure it is closed.
* If you Wear the ring and the pose is not activated, then the ring box is probably open. Click on it, it will close, and the pose will be activated.
Have fun with this great idea : )
