The AGL-07 Standing Laser Turret is a heavy laser rifle mounted on an adaptive support, featuring an intelligent detection system that tracks the nearest person.
The turret is NOT scripted to fire projectiles and is purely a decorative item with avatar tracking.

This is perfect on top of a security building on my sim. The only thing I am unsure of is the range that it detects the nearest avatar, that is not shared in the details or NC included. A cool enhancement would be to allow the range to be set manually, but am loving how this looks and works.
