Parol Lanterns are part of a celebration known as Simbang Gabi (also known as Misa de Gallo) which is celebrated in the Phillipines, parts of Austria, and throughout Filipino communities all over the world
You can find often displayed all along the streets, malls, and especially homes, Most commonly seen with 5 points though nowadays can have more to represent the star of Bethlehem.
