The raised fist symbol was first used in 1917 in union actions by the Industrial Workers of the World, and then popularized during the Spanish Civil War as an antifascist symbol of solidarity, strength, and defiance. It's been used in many uprisings and civil rights movements since then; here it is merged with the PoC-Inclusive Pride Flag or Philadelphia Variant of the Rainbow Pride Flag, designed in 2017 by the marketing firm Tierney that adds black and brown stripes to the top of the standard six-color flag, to draw attention to issues of people of color within the LGBTQ community.
