********************************BASIC SF VERSION********************************

The scripted shield works together the SF3 compatible HUD's and meters (SPELLFIRE III, OMEGA, UNITY) and using script version 4.0.

The shield will only block while the block animation is running. With practice, you will be able to block many arrows and sword swings.

Using your shield repeatedly will drain your stamina.

********************************UNITY - WF VERSION********************************

These scripts allow for the creation of a true shield, not a SF-type that throws a blocking prim. The shield is worn on the arm and is raised normally (using standard C or PgDn key). Once raised, the shield will block all prim-based attacks.

The shield has been developed with the 1-hand sword or weapon in mind, and does not "look" good with 2H or polearme (although it works fine with them). I am mostly interested in introducing some new and exciting skill strategies for sparring and battles. It is not enough to simply raise the shield and attack...you will collapse from lack of stamina in very short order. But used strategically with good skill, it could allow a 1H to do very effective battle, and would certainly open up some excitement in the arena!

Statistics

Stamina drain:
* 1 point every seven seconds the shield is held in the up position
* roughly 1/2 of the damage amount of an attack subtracted from stamina. This actually take the integer of 0.5 of the damage, so a 7 point hit will subtract 3 stamina points.
