R(S)W Flip Flop Kit

These Flip Flops have been carefully sculpted to look exactly like bargain store flip flops, down to the "buttons" on the bottom of the sole!

They are also easy to texture; there is some distortion, but it's minimal, and there are no pinch points anywhere. (The distortion is at the top of the toe, and the bottom of the heel, so if your texture is a solid color in those areas, you won't see any distortion at all!)

Texture keys are included, so you can easily see which quarter of the texture is the top, which is the bottom, and which two are the sides. There's also a "Placement Grid" pattern, which shows the distortion, so you can compensate for it if you care to.

The Sculpt Maps are full perm, so you can save them to your hard drive, open them in Blender, and save out .obj files to texture in Photoshop Extended, or any other app that lets you texture 3D objects.

Making a pair of flip flops with this kit is a snap! Just make a prim, name it Prim, and put it in the contents of the Maker. Then click the Maker, and it'll make the link set from your prims (so you're listed as the Creator) and name it Flip Flop WIP so you know what it is when you take it into your Inventory!

Full Instructions are included, in case you need them. You also get a Posting Stand (for making the flip flops wearable.)

There are 5 pairs of Sample Flip Flops, that show you the Ambient Occlusion, the Color Codes (so you can see what part of the Texture Map is where,) a Test Sample (so you can see where the distortions are) a Placement Sample (that includes a map that looks straight on the flip flop, so you can compensate for the distortions if you want to) and a textured pair, so you can just start to color and wear them if you want to! (All the Samples are wearable, and have copy/mod permissions.)

You also get 9 textures, ranging from the 2 Plain textures that gives you a finished pair of flip flops, though the Ambient Occlusion (shading), Color Code (which makes it easy to see what part of the map colors what part of the flip flop.) All of those have separate textures for the foot and the Strap. You also get the Placement Grid for the foot, (to allow you to compensate for the distortions if you want to) and two test patterns, the Grid that's used on the Placement Grid, and my normal Test Pattern Grid.

I have finished examples of the sculpt at my store, as well as in all the flip flops that I sell!
