The KCP Basic Chopper Script set was designed for ease of installation and use, perfect for new builders. In fact, so simple to use, the full installation instructions are listed here:
1. Place the Basic CS Engine script and Basic CS Menu script in your bike’s root prim, along with the included sounds and animation.
2. Place the Basic CS front and rear tire scripts and front and rear rim scripts in your front and rear tires and rims, or if using 1-prim wheels and not separate rims and tires, just use the tire scripts.
3. Optionally, place the Basic CS Exhaust script in a prim in your bike.
4. Name your headlight prim “light”
5. Add the word “texture” to any prim or prims in the bike you want to have your custom textures applied to, such as your fuel tank.
6. Add the word “color” to the name of any prim you want to respond to the color change menu. This can be one of the prims with the word “texture” in the name as well.
7. Set the next owner permissions on the scripts, sounds and pose to no modify & no transfer.
8. Place some textures in the root prim so that you can change these from the menu.
Your bike is now ready to ride! Touch the bike to call the menu.
Or you can simply set the permissions on the included Basic Bike and take it for a spin. You can use this Basic Bike as the start of your own chopper build, just start swapping out parts. (The Basic CS exhaust script is in the rear axle if you want to remove it).
Driving instructions: Use the arrow keys to steer, accelerate and brake. To change gear, hold down SHIFT and press the left or right arrow key. For wheelie, press Page Up or the “E” key. To push the front of the bike down, press Page Down or the “C” key. You can select burnout from the bike’s menu or hold down shift and then press the back arrow. Press “C” or Page Down to turn it off from the keyboard.
Notes –
You can add or remove textures at any time in the bike’s root prim. Then select “Texture” from the menu to cycle through the current textures.
If you are selling or giving away a bike made with any of the scripts, parts, sounds or rider pose, the scripts must be set to no modify and no transfer, and anything else included with this package must be set to no transfer. Setting the permissions on the entire bike won’t actually work for the items inside the bike, you need to do it to each sound, animation, and script. If you want somebody receiving the bike to be able to add their own textures, you need to set the entire bike itself to Modify permissions, so they can add textures.
When bike is unlocked, anyone can touch the bike and access the menu, but they must be seated on the bike. This is to prevent somebody from messing with the bike while it is being ridden. The owner can always access the menu.
You can edit the values of the gear speeds at the top of the Basic Engine script. Make the numbers larger for more powerful gears. You can also change the values for steering, banking, reverse and wheelie power.
To make a bike rez unlocked for a drivable demo, open the Basic Engine script inside the bike and change the word TRUE to FALSE on line 16, and save it. Helpful for rezzing ride-able demo bikes for use with the KCP Bike Vendor.
I can't offer much support for the free MM edition, but have included a few basic tips for new builders.
