1. Create a collideable object for the Starting Post or use the Maze Race Start v.1 in folder and edit it to your needs..
Example: an invisible mat to walk over.
To configure your own starting message that will go to all contestants as they start,
write the message starting with # in the description field of the Maze Race Start.
The message to the contestant will always start with "Welcome (name)" followed by your message following the #
If you make your own, put the script from the Maze Race Start into your new object.
2. Create a collideable object for the Finishing Post or use the Maze Race Finish v.1 prim in folder and edit it to your needs. It must be on the same SIM as the starting post.
Example: an invisible mat to walk over.
Add the script from Maze Race Finish v.1 to the object if you created your own.

I'm giving you an example Maze Race Start v.1 and Maze Race Finish v.1. The start is green, the finish is red.
When these objects are rezzed, their scripts get reset.
Walk over the starting point.
You will get a welcome message.
A message saying you've started the course will be sent to the system owner.
Walk to the Finishing Post and walk over it.
It will tell you your course time.
The Finishing post shows the CURRENT best 3 times for today.
Your time will also be sent to the system owner.
If you repeatedly walk over the Starting or Finishing posts, you will get appropriate messages.

OWNER MENU

The Owner (only) gets a MENU on TOUCHING the Starting Post
The options are
RESET
NEW DAY
IGNORE
RESET restarts the scripts in both the Starting Post and the Finishing Post
NEW DAY simulates a new day (without having to wait for 00:00 SLT).
On New Day, a list of the previous days 3 best performers appears in floating text above the starting post,
and a full list of the last day's contestants is sent to the owner.
