Today, I was upset to see yet another random sales (gotcha) tool was to hard too use correctly. So I rolled my own.
No note cards or script skills required. Set the price in the object description, drop in some stuff to sell randomly, and accept the permissions warning.
If you get it wrong, it won't sell stuff at some random price .. it just stops selling and warns you of your mistake.
This script will NOT sell unless the price is properly set.
If the price is changed, it will NOT sell at the wrong price and fixes itself to use the correct price.
If the user (owner of the sales object) or customer (user of the sales object) *could* make a mistake, I checked for that. If I could recover and correct the mistake, I did. If I could not, the script notifies you and shuts down cleanly waiting for you to fix things.
Yes, you can Reset the script .. but you should never need to. So you can't forget to Reset it when you make a change, which other scripts of this type require.
And I'm putting it out MODIFY for all users, TRANSFER for creators .. so everyone can look and see for themselves there is nothing fishy going on inside.
Remember, though, that just because you can read and change the script does not mean you can ignore the license. You can sell it as part of your creations, but you can't resell it or give it to friends so they can do that, too.
