This is a Remembrance Sunday Poppy which is worn.

Its a gift from me to you.

Remembrance Day marks the end of the first World War at 11 o'clock on 11th November 1918.
It is also known as Armistice Day as ‘armistice’ is another word for ‘truce’ or ‘agreement’.
Remembrance Sunday is celebrated on the second Sunday of November. People join together for parades and gather at memorials and cenotaphs around the country to honour those who lost their lives in the war.
The poppy became the symbol for Remembrance Day because they grew in the fields in Flanders where many battles took place.

Lest we forget

I've also included a Poppy without the leaf and a White Poppy. There has been controversy about the white poppy so I've copy and pasted what it means below.

'Just like the traditional red poppy, the white poppy is worn to commemorate those who died in war. The main difference is that while the red poppy mainly commemorates the soldiers who lost their lives while the white poppy remembers all the victims of war and wishes for an end to all wars. It aims to emphasise peace as the only desirable outcome'

Do you know, after my almost 59 years of life, I had never heard of the white poppy until now. So, I am wearing this to remind EVERYONE that this poppy is a reminder of ALL those who were left behind after the 1st world war but NOT only that war....ALL wars as we all want peace on this earth, only crazeees like the Russian President 'Pukin' Puntin wants a war not just with Ukrain but ALL western counties. Thank you and God bless you for this wonderful creation. <3
