This chair is based upon an Italian Renaissance antique, and shows the reinforced base that made chairs of this period sturdy enough to last. Made of richly carved wood with contrasting wood inlays it complements our Renaissance dining table -- six of them will fit around the table. Alternatively the chairs could be used for extra seating near the fireplace, along the edges of the ballroom, or in the hall.
