RENAISSANCE
In May o f 2013 I launched a collection of Renaissance gowns to support the sim of Pope Paul III. These are intended for wear during the 15th Century. However, the Renaissance was a very eclectic period, and these gowns would also be appropriate for some Medieval Role Play sims. Many of the textures were created from photographs of authentic Renaissance fabrics and trims, and I've made every effort to see that the styling is historically correct, as well.
Renaissance gowns were robes, skirts and/or jacket ensembles worn over a chemise. The Chemise was usually visible in the bodice area, covering a portion of the bustine, and in more casual attire often provided the sleeves and sometimes all or part of the skirt , as well.
