Rin's Arachne Avatar v1.2 Version 1.2

Was looking around for a nice spider body, decided to give this one a go, very pleased with the outcome.
It's easy to mod, comes with the textures, should you choose to make your own skin for it.
The animations are nice, nothing too fiddly.

Also happy I could use it with my own body and such, I just made a blending tattoo for the torso and it was good to go! :)

Don't forget to try the demo tho, better safe than sorry, in case it's just not what tickles your fancy.

First of all, this is the best *Overall* Spider bod you're gonna find as of this review.

Fits Freya and MLara well, shaping and alpha's required. (Honestly unless this is your first avatar (It shouldnt be) There's zero reason to use the included human body)

The fact that its animesh, rather than bento or some other black magic, allows for other Animation overides on the Human torso. This is probably the single biggest selling point (despite limiting you from bizarre tongues and ovipositors).

The animations, for the Spider body... are adequate. The sit is BAD, im sorry, it just is, the transition particularly. The fly is hilariously bad, and an attempt at humor on the creators part I assume, it gave me a chuckle, but a nice hover might be more appropriate.

The human body AO... its not very good, its borderline placeholder. That being said you should really be looking to replace the human animations with 3rd party breathing/finger flickers or statics. I think the creator likely took this into consideration when prioritizing workflow. custom/3rd party animations work quite well, so long as the animation does not interfere to much with the pelvis.

Aesthetically, it is somewhat cartoonish - and lacks the impact that some other Spider Bodies have - ridges, stray hairs - they all contribute to that "icky-ness" that really drives these avatars. If they had been animesh, I would have probably prefered other designs. That being said, Im sure some custom materials and textures could go a long way. The Spider body Head/Hip, is a bit square, but whatever, its okay, just could be a bit curvier. The sensible skeleton allows for stable attachments.

If the creator is reading this, I implore you to work on the animations we cannot already replace with 3rd party products. Sensible sits, more walks, more runs, more idles (and control of them, as such I can only cycle/rand without tearing the AO apart). And simple addons, hairs, ridged plates.

I like spider AO.
I don't know what the loud thing is about.
If not, it is star 5.

It is fantastic, I love using it with even a maitreya body! My big concern tho, (though not a big life issue,) is that I feel it can use with some dance moves, otherwise it's a dancing cage! XD Keep Up the Good Work!

As stated above, I LOVE this body so much. You don't even have to use the human upper half given to you. I've tested out both Kemono & Fitted Kemono as well as Maitreya, and with a little tweaking in the lower areas, they work PERFECTLY.

You can even use your own AO to animate your upper half, though, most AOs are too wiggly in the waist area, so it breaks the immersion of being a cool Arachne. I'm still testing with different AOs, though.

Since I use anime heads & skins, I don't mind the flat texture look, but that's just my personal taste.

However, I do agree with the person that reviewed it before me.
• A demo would be really nice, due to it being a big risk if one does not like it.
• More animations & Stands for the body. One that also allows us to uncross the pedipalps if we wanted.
• Lastly, AO & UV Maps so that we can make custom skins.

Again, I really love this body, and in my honest opinion, it's the best one in the market for my tastes, so it's well worth the buy.

The model on this looks really well made, but there are little to no animations on the body.
Basically only one of each stand. The Mini legs in the front are always crossed while standing.
Texturing is also very flat, Almost thought it was just a colored prim at first.

Took a risk since this body was cheaper than others and was extremely disappointed.

Improvements I would suggest to the creator:
Add a Demo.
Animate the body more,
Give more stands,
Include a default texture set so we can make our own custom skins.
Remove the weird Loincloth from the spider model.
