The classic challenge game brought to Second Life.
Need to settle a dispute? Want a bias free competition? Looking for a way to kill time before the next system crash? Play Rock Paper Scissors!
The rules are simple:
1) Rock breaks scissors
2) Scissors cuts paper
3) Paper covers rock
(whatever the heck that means.)
This version uses built in animations, so there's no need to have special hands. In fact, your avatar doesn't even need to have hands, but the animations might look awkward.
There's also no need to buy a second system. This system animates both you and your opponent. Of course, you both have to give permission to animate, and you might want to turn off your animation overrides, but that's entirely up to you. All you both really need to do is select a tactic and abide by the outcome.
In fact, you don't even need to have an opponent. If you're a recluse like me, who lives alone in a skybox and talks to a volleyball, you can play against the computer. (Of course, the computer's not going to animate, and if it does things could get awkward. - Mine already spits paper at me, so it's 1/3 of the way there, but if yours starts throwing rocks and scissors, you might want to switch to a different game.)
If you purchase now, you get a second system completely FREE! One you can wear as a HUD and one that you can rez in-world. That way you can carry it with you to play anywhere that scripts are allowed, or leave it out on your land so your friends can play even if you're not around. (Alternatively, your enemies can play precisely when you're not around.)
I created the in-world version for a medieval setting, so it looks like a rustic post, but it has modify permission so you can make it look like pretty much anything you want. (Perhaps a rock, a piece of paper, or ... I'm out of ideas.)
But what good is winning if you can't gloat? There are built in animations for winning, suffering the agony of defeat, and the dreaded tie. These are all specified on a configuration notecard, so if you're the least bit creative you could change these outcomes to something like the loser kisses the winner's boot. (Not that I'd suggest anything like that. I'd just point you to a page of animations and let you choose your own.)
Just remember, there's no cheat mode (as far as you know) so if you do change the animations to something disgusting, you could end up being the one performing it, and once again, that could get awkward.
