Rococo Furniture - Pair of Louis XV Boulle Marquetry Pedestals / Marie Antoinette 18th Century Louis XV Baroque

UPDATE MARCH 2021 - these pieces have been on sale for almost a decade, and are slightly outdated/outmoded. So I am dropping the price of everything to 30% (or less) than the originals. Hopefully people can carry on enjoying - but bear in mind their age/primminess!!

Pair of black wood pedestals featuring a sumptuous decor in 'Boulle' marquetry. The elaborate design is composed of tortoiseshell and brass on a copper background, except the lambrequin, which is brass on a blue marble background. The capital is decorated with rich gilded and chiseled bronze ornamentation with scrolls and acanthus leaves on each side. They rest on an elegant bow plinth.

Inspired from a model by André Charles Boulle currently preserved at the Musée du Louvre, Paris. The pedestals come as a pair (you buy this, you get two!)
