Do you play different characters on different sims?
Are you Officer Brown on one, Spike the dangerous looking youth on another, and Grenzi a visitor to earth on yet another. Except, when you chat, you always show as EasterBunny2013, which was your original SL name. Shatters the illusion somewhat, don't you think?
Well, the Roleplay Assistant HUD is here to help. You set up your list of characters, and then use the HUDs menu system to choose which one you are going to play. Then, when you speak in local chat, you will appear as 'CrazyColin' or whoever you want to appear as.
So that people can then identify you have also included a 'Titler' object, which will link to the HUD to show your name. Although linked it is also separate, so can be ignored, or used independently if you wish.
The HUD will bring it' own text window, so you can switch back and fore between the character and your normal avi as you wish.
You will also be entitled to free updates on this product.

Almost worked
RIP
Exactly What I Needed
This worked perfectly for me, after some help setting it up since the instructions are not exactly user friendly, but in the end, it works perfectly.
Doesn't Work
I followed the instructions, added info to the notecard and reset the hud. Nothing. This thing is not functioning the way its supposed to.
Extra requirement.
After you have edited the character names on the Notecard, you need to reset scripts.
This option is available in Firestorm, but I couldn't find using SL or Singularity viewers.
Then close edit, and reset on the Hud
Can't make characters :(
I bought this to have a character's name above my head but when i amend it like the card says, it does nothing!
