The Roman arch of Medinaceli, located in Soria, is the only Roman triumphal arch in Spain with three openings (arches). It was built at the end of the 1st century to project an image of power and prestige. The arch was built with blocks of porous sandstone of a yellowish-red color. Functionally, the arch served as a gateway to the city. The central opening was for carriages, and the side openings were for pedestrians.
The dimensions of the arch are 13.20 x 8.10 x 2.10 m.
