I have come across so many flops for sheer curtains on SL, but these are definitely not one of those! These actually look pretty gorgeous in-game, and they are not just a flat texture, either. Which can't be said for many others, haha.
If you unlink the top part, it'll break the curtains, however you can simply select the piece and hide it by turning up the transparency.
