Version 1.1 - Added mesh playing pieces
The Royal Game of Ur, also known as the Game of Twenty Squares or simply the Game of Ur, is a two-player strategy race board game that was first played in ancient Mesopotamia during the early third millennium BC.
It is the oldest known board game in history dating back over 4000 years!
This wonderful remake in second life, Includes two rule sets.

The games board and dice are both mesh models.
Made by talented second life artists,
Isabella Hollowheart(board and piece models)
numberofthebeast angelus (dice model)
The game its self uses a single script under 64kb and has very low script run time,
0.002-0.006ms average measured on a full region. Script was written by dawn pienaar.
- Two rule sets both basic and masters.
- Two player and single player mode.
- Beautiful fully animated mesh playing board and dice.
- Uses a single script with very low script time.
Nearly perfect
Well scripted, simple and intuitive operation, and I love the subtle design.
The basic ruleset follows Irving Finkel's cuneiform tablet translation (worth watching his vids).
The only suggestion I'd make is that it would be nice to have the rules available as a menu option or otherwise included with the game...
Should be EVERYWHERE!
and by that title i mean i can honestly see this game being placed in all sorts of places. clubs. cofeeshops, shopping centres and so on and so on. instead of those big game tables made for one game we got a little easy to use board taht can be placed everywhere!
the gameplay is super simple and fun. a good mix between luck and strategy. i could play that for a couple hours or heck i could see this game have tournaments heh.
beside all that. its amazing to think that this game is actually one of or the first ever board game in history of mankind remade in Second life.
super fun 5 stars would play again
I feel the weight of time just playing this!
The board is extremely well made and has several different rule sets if you get bored. I can't wait to play with my SO!
Very fun!
Very well made and scripted game, its simple to learn, but you can get competitive with your friends as its not too simple~ Good fun ^^
Not bad
I purchased this to put near my office with a few other games after trying a copy the maker was nice enough to give me. The prim count is a little high but has the advertisement says it is fully animated. Nice game over all. Thank you!
Fun game with friends.
Heard about the game from a friend. Looked up few videos on youtube and was intrigued. Searched for it in SL and found this. Bought it and played it with friends. So much fun teaching new people rules. Product works and feels good and I would suggest it to anyone who wants to have good time with friends.
