The Enstrom 280C "Shark" is one of many variants of the original F-28 design introduced in 1965. The 280C, introduced in 1975, features more power, a turbocharger and an aerodynamically refined design. It is powered by a Lycoming HIO-360-F1AD producing 225HP. It can seat two people when the right seat controls are installed, or 3 people when the controls are removed. Unlike many helicopters, the pilot sits in the left in the Enstrom due to the removable controls.
The SA-FE (Shergood Aviation Flight Engine) engine driving this virtual reproduction was created by an RL helicopter pilot and designed to fly like an RL helicopter. The engine is purely physics based and features independent control of cyclic, collective, throttle and anti-torque pedals enabling true power-off autorotations.

Most realistic helicopter simulation in SL - bar none!
I can't say enough about how amazingly realistic this product is. It's an absolutely dead-on, perfect, exact, accurate and amazingly realistic simulation of piloting a real helicopter. I know of no other product in SL that is even in the same category in terms of realism and the exacting accuracy of modeling the way a real helicopter responds and flies. The scripting in this product is far and away superior to any other helicopter in all of SL. It's very clear that hundreds if not thousands of hours have been spent testing and perfecting the way this helicopter flies and responds. The HUD is amazingly detailed and perfectly accurate at all times with no lag whatsoever. I recommend the novist mode to start, disabling the realism features so as to allow the new pilot time to adapt to the heli and to learn how it responds. Mastering the flight of this product may take some time, but it's a wonderful challenge that will provide years of entertainment as you grow with the helicopter.
This product is simply the very best of SL. There is no other simulation of a helicopter that is even deserving of being placed in the same category as this helicopter. It's the most realistic and amazingly fun simulation of real helicopter flight anywhere in SL. I have many years of experience with all types of vehicles in SL. The flight scripts in this product are, simply, absolutely perfect. I can find no fault with the performance of this helicopter whatsoever. None. I can't possibly provide a higher recommendation than that.
Do not hesitate if you're interesting in learning how a real helicopter responds and flies. This product is a fantastic deal and it's worth every linden, period. Shergood Aviation products are truly in a class of their own. You will not be disappointed.
