A cardinal mark is a sea mark (a buoy or other floating or fixed structure) used in maritime pilotage to indicate the position of a hazard and the direction of safe water.
Cardinal marks indicate the direction of safety as a cardinal (compass) direction (north, east, south or west) relative to the mark. This makes them meaningful regardless of the direction or position of the approaching vessel, in contrast to the (perhaps better-known) lateral mark system.
So...since I first went sailing, i used to see these marks, and in Second Life... nothing ! Nothing serious, i mean ! It's the reason why i decided to create it.
This one floats and it is more than realistic !
- fine floating movement up and down like a real buoy in the sea.
- automatic white flashing light at night. When the sun disappears below the horizon, the white flashing light turn on automatically and turn off early in the morning. The flashing light is supplied by two solar panels.
- Original and not agressive sounds (Waves) in a perfect loop (stop by clicking on the lamp).
- You can set the speed of the move in local chat.
- displayed in my shop.
- only 10 prims.
The characteristics and meanings of my cardinal marks are as defined by the International Association of Lighthouse Authorities.
