So and so...

It is a decent mesh design, It handles very well for its RCX scripts and in general it is easy to fly. It is a very reliable and fast sim crosser as well.
There are some draw backs though, and issues that will not justify its relatively high price.
At top speeds and in cruise mode it keeps pushing its nose down so you'll have to keep adjusting it every 3-4 seconds. You'd get tired after a while.
Sound is not very accurate, start up procedure very simplistic as well.
Overall a decent plane but not for this price...

After seeing the move, "Dunkirk", I fell in love with the Spitfire and wanted a mesh version here in SL. After trying a few other demos in-world, I took a chance on this one and bought it. I was pleasantly surprised how good this one was! The HUD is very good, and the plane can be rezzed directly from the hud, which is really efficient. The box does come with a standard rezzable plane to, of course.

Flight Performance: Flight tested over Blake Sea and Jeogeot Gulf. The plane handles extremely well and is very very fast! Smooth sim-crossing and two flight modes: Battle and Cruise. Battle mode gives you more responsiveness, sharper turns, etc. Cruise mode allows for auto-leveling and smoother, more controlled flight. The only drawback is that the throttle increments are set to 10 percent each, instead of the standard five. So, for example, you can only move from 10% directly to 20% throttle.

This is a high-quality mesh plane with high LOD, so it wont warp when viewed from a distance. The cockpit instrumentation is also very detailed. The plane comes with three textures in the menu.

The Vice combat system does work, although I have yet to actually hit anything. :-)

Please be careful of buying other Spitfires. I have tried several, and they do not meet the standards of other builders, or the pilots flying them. If you're looking for a good, high-quality mesh Spitfire, THIS is the one you want!
