Our Online Status Indicator (OSI) has some nice features that you can access by typing into local chat after rezzing it: /osi help
SEE LOCAL CHAT (CTRL+H).
The OSI's display can be disabled or enabled:
/osi off
/osi on
Note that when you disable with '/osi off', you must reset the script to update the status.
Or you can take the OSI back into your inventory and re-rez it, forcing a reset.
/osi me will display the OSI owner's (your) online status
/osi spec will display the online status of the avatar's UUID you have entered into the OSI's description field (below the Name of the prim/object containing the script)
/osi land will display the online status of the land owner where the OSI is rezzed.
/osi help will display these menu switch options in LOCAL chat
By utilizing the switches above, your OSI can be used to display (1) YOUR online status, (2) anyone else's online status, specified by UUID, or (3) the land owner's online status. PLEASE NOTE that if you do not specify one of the above switches, the status of the object OWNER will be displayed.
The Enablng and Disabling of the display can be useful when the OSI script is in one prim of several, linked together. Perhaps it is linked to the target avatar's image on a second prim. You want to keep your OSI +Image rezzed but perhaps temporarily don't want the online status to be shown. Disabling with '/osi off' allows that. Again, reset the script after disabling the display. Then turn it back on whenever you are ready by standing near it and typing into local chat '/osi on' (then switch.)
